2008 toyota Yaris, first car 131k miles, $4000 (decided to skip out on the prius) i decided to skip on the prius ,so i might get this instead, i know Toyota is a reliable brand but not sure how reliable a 131k mile 2008 Yaris will be, hoping to make it to 180k-200k miles on it with regular maintenance , i am a college student who just needs But if youre asking about the brands cars overall they're typical Japanese reliability but, built to a lower price point. Louder, harder plastics, less (good) tech and features. More reliable and cheaper than Hyundai but not quite as well finished when comparing similar models. Other than the insane amount of legal shit you’d have to go through, I guess you could just import a GR Yaris, buy a total red regular Yaris/similar Toyota, swap the VINs for registration, etc. the fact that it’s a performance version of an already existing normal car makes it a lot easier. Could rebadge it and basically be safe. Toyota US didn’t order any because of exactly why the video explained. It’s the same reason Ford doesn’t sell the Focus ST or Fiesta ST: without the base model of the car here to piggyback off of the federal compliance, it would make the car unrealistically expensive. Maintenance and repairs are MUCH cheaper and more widely available for it, it's a cheaper vehicle with a great track record. Yep my wife has one, it's a great car, though I do like to take the mick and tell her it's an old ladies car. Surprisingly spacious interior for the size of car, well made/ put together, though the interior is quite bland. Mechanically they're very reliable, and good on fuel. mZPd2H.
