If you're on P, drop it on the floor, open the cheat log with tilde key, click on the golden claw to highlight it and get the ref. number for it, then type 'setownership' and it will no longer be tagged as stolen. I don't think that command makes the item specifically yours but rather not owned by anyone. The problems I've had are that when you walk into Myrwatch and Tundra Homestead, sometimes things fall over or off the shelves - the gallery level of Myrwatch is especially messy like this - and some of the weapon racks in Goldenhills and Hendraheim will hold things, but then I can't take the weapons off again (until I turn clipping off).
